THE BATTLE & BURNING OF NORWALK- Our city was burned to the ground in 1779 by British General, Tryon. It took 100 years to recover. Learn our history in this dramatic fictionalized account written by Mariner Pezza, with music and lyrics by Cheryl Kemeny.

Patriots, Tories and “undecided’s” abound, along with romance and betrayal in an ensemble show loaded with parts for male and female alike. Thomas Paine’s pamphlet was America’s first best-seller and also raised the idea of “equality” among the womenfolk.

Directed by Samantha Kulish-Fargione (Norwalk Historical Society Education Director), with musical direction by composer Cheryl Kemeny and choreography by Char Fromentin of Dance Dimensions, Stage Manager, Debra Poruban.
